Are you interested in a life of adventure and battle, or are you suffering at the hands of a monster threatening your village, your family, or your way of life? Then look no further than the Rangers Guild! The Rangers Guild is made up of commoners like you or me, but commoners who have dedicated themselves to defending the sweet liberties and freedoms of the innocent. The Rangers Guild is no mere monster-hunting guild, but a family. A family that works together and strives together to make the world a safer place. Whether you’re looking to hire the unique and unmatched skills of a Ranger, or hoping to join as a member yourself, you’re in the right place!
To hire a Ranger, anyone can head to their nearest guild hall—located in every major city and beyond—and put up a contract notice for whatever fell beast troubles you. Fill out the details of your contract with as much information as you can provide, including all known information about your pest-in-question, your location, and any habits the creature may possess. Then, select a Notice Level and your offered Fee for services rendered. The Rangers Guild offers three Notice Levels at variable prices, depending on the threat that stands at your door.
1.) Standard Notice: The most affordable option available, a Standard Notice will be posted to the very same Rangers Guild Hall the contract was filled out. Every Ranger who visits the Guild Hall will see your contract on display and all of the details that come with it. Any of the honorable Rangers interested in taking on your contract will have copies made out to them, and they will make their way straight to you!
2.) Urgent Notice: With triple the postage fee, your Contract will be copied at your local Guild Hall, as well as sent out to every acting Rangers Guild Hall in your Region. Every Ranger in the country will see your contract and will have copies made when they decide to help your people!
3.) Emergency Notice: At ten-times the postage fee for the most dire of situations, your Contract will be sent to every Rangers Guild Hall possible, with copies made to every single Ranger who desires it. Ensuring beyond a shadow of doubt that a Ranger will come to save the day.
Once your Notice Level is selected you’ll need to provide your Completion Fee up-front. Rangers are the heroes of Zale, but they need to eat and maintain their equipment no less than any other citizen. Depending on your Completion Fee, the Rangers Guild will provide a special frame using Wood, Iron, Silver, or Gold to let Rangers know at a glance how well your Contract will pay. The more you help your Rangers, the more they will help you!
Looking for work? The Rangers Guild is always hiring and taking on new applicants among the commonfolk to handle contracts for the people. The Rangers are a guild made by the people, for the people, and it’s the people who steel our ranks and defend villages and towns across the continents! All you need to be a Ranger is to stand at 15 Winters Age and have any Ranger of the Guild sponsor your membership. The Rangers Guild is a well-trained and experienced group of warriors of all castes and types, but we ensure the quality persists when signing on any new member. Are you a veteran warrior but can’t find sponsorship among the Rangers? Worry-not! Exceptions can be made and sponsorship can be provided by the Rangers Guild Support Team.
Once you’ve been sponsored, you will be a full member of the most heroic and well funded guild in all of the lands! As a Ranger, you’ll enjoy the benefits of free meals and lodging at any guild hall, access to libraries to hone your knowledge, training grounds to improve your skills, and the aid of your fellow Rangers to set you on your path. The Rangers are heroes! Talk to your local guild branch and, soon, you will be too!
[WARNING: The Rangers Guild are not hired assassins. Contracts for killing other humanlikes will not be accepted or supported by the Guild. Contract Fees and Notice Levels do not guarantee service. The Rangers Guild does not, will not, and cannot force any Ranger to accept any contract.]
We hope you enjoyed this week’s Lore Spotlight and a happy Independence Day for all readers in the United States!
